Common Equine Dental Problems

Care of the equine mouth is not simply "floating", but includes incisor reduction,
canine reduction, wolf tooth extraction and molar reduction.

Some indications of dental problems are head throwing while riding, eating hay before
grain, tilting head while eating, hard to bit and dunking of hay in water, just to name a few.

Immediately below is an illustration of a well maintained normal equine mouth.
The illustrations which follow detail some common equine dental malocclusions.
